Notice is hereby given that one casual vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for Acton Parish Council. If by 15th July 2025 a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors for the said Parish, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option. If an election is called, it will take place not later than 18th September 2025.

Come to Acton Village Hall April 17th at 7pm and help us produce a wish-list of improvements for Acton.

Help our Councillor Working Group produce as list of tasks that can be added to our 2024 Action Plan.

Tasks should be featured around parish infrastructure improvements.
Inform Councillors of your ideas and support suggestions made by other residents. The more ideas we have to consider, the more we can achieve.

The Annual Parish Meeting will commence at 7.30pm.

Acton Playgroup organised the Acton coronation celebrations on Monday May 9th 11am -2pm. The celebrations were supported with a grant from Acton Parish Council.

Parish Councillors will be at Acton’s Car Boot Sale on Saturday 25 September 11am-2pm.

Come and let us know what you think our village and the whole parish needs for the future. It is time for the Parish Council to review Acton’s Action Plan, add new ideas and prioritise what residents want to happen. Cllrs will be at the Parish Council stand to answer questions and note down your ideas.

The car boot sale is organised by Acton Play Group email actonplaygroup@hotmail.co.uk and will take place at Acton Village Hall, High Street, Acton, Sudbury, Suffolk CO10 0AT.

Jubilee Celebrations

Platinum Jubilee June 2022

In June 2022 it was fantastic to see so many people turn out for the Jubilee Party and fair on the Village Playing Field. A massive thanks to Acton Play Group for organising this successful day. The Parish Council provided funding for the children’s Jubilee tea and other activities.
