Assistant Parish Clerk 10 hours per week £15.08 per hour
Acton Parish Council is looking to appoint a capable, self-motivated person to support the parish clerk in her duties and take day-to-day responsibility for implementing particular projects and overseeing the council’s property and assets including a play area, allotments and wildlife reserve.
Acton Parish Council has a confident and active team of councillors and expects to be taking forward multiple projects to support the village. The parish council has a strong commitment to serving the community. The council’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for the community of Acton, maintain the village identity and encourage community spirit.
Experience in local government and knowledge of the local area would be an advantage although applications from anyone with a strong work ethic, excellent organisational skills and a “can-do” attitude are welcome. This is a varied and interesting role offering flexible, home-based working. The salary band will start at NJC point 15 (£15.08 per hour).
Training will be available including clerks training (CiLCA). Other benefits include pension and home working allowance.
